I have a well establish 125 reef aquarium with plenty of rock and substrate. In my tank I have 4 yellow tangs, 5 blue/green chromis', 5 peppermint shrimp, couple cerpent stars, and crustaceans.

I was looking to add maybe :
5 false percs - heard they can get along in groups
5 pajama cards
green mandarin
blue tang
3 cleaner shrimp

I am cautious about the percs, mandarin, and tang. Let me know what you think?

IMO you are already well maxed out on fish load for a 125. It will be a wonder if all those tangs lve in peace for years to come. 8O

If you have to add something else, I would go for a pair of the clowns.

I have a 150 with 5 small fish and 1 tang and am very close to my max to keep the fish happy and healthy. IME to many fish won't allow space for all the fish to establish their own territorys and leads to long term stress.

if its well established as you said, then id go for a mandarin as it wont increase the bioload or stress any of the fellow fish but it will add a streak of colour and be an amazing fish to watch :) just make sure theres enough live rock for it to forage amongst !
good luck

I would definately go for the dragonet myself. They are absolutely beautiful.

If you really wanted any other fish I would consider trading them with your yellow tangs. The shrimp I dont think matter much for bio load esp cleaner shrimps. However I would add 100 or anything hehe :D

I cant imagine four yellow tangs and 5 small chromis taking up a 125 gallon tank. I do have 200lbs. of live rock with plenty of hiding places. Only one of my tangs is territorial mostly because it likes swimming by the water return pipe.

For the mandarin I know it can live off natural prey from rock and substrate but I probably should rely on it and feed it regularly.

well them living on the rock/pods is your only option. They dont eat anything else except ocassionally brine. I've heard that they will pick at flake every blue moon but dont count on it to even provide 1/20th of their intake for the week.

You basically add them to a good reef and let them live. Thats why you arent supposed to add them for 8-10+ months after a new tank has been set up.

This might not be what you want to hear, but dump the Tangs and go with some Cardinals...Kaudrons(Bangaii) a group of those guys would be pretty awesome...
