Can you give us a little more info on your setup such as fish you plan to keep, skimmer, live rock etc...? are you going to run 2 175 watt halides or two?

start by reading the extensive stocking guidance on wetwebmedia -- http://wetwebmedia.com/stocking1.htm

the general question "what should i stock in my 70g" is wayyyyyy to vague -- before you ask this you need an overall goal (e.g., "i want to focus on fish and not so much on corals", "i want to focus on soft corals", "I want a mix of LPS and SPS corals", "I want a balance of fish and corals" etc.).

i'd suggest reading all of the newbie guides here and on sites like wetwebmedia.com, getting an idea of where you want to head, and then targeting-in on specifics from there.

hey are 4 50w lights good enough for lps corals and mushrooms?
how deep is your tank? i would say u should not have a problem keeping xenia, sarcophytons, sinularia (softies), mushrooms, & button polyps. Pending on depth of tank & placement where LPS would be u should be able to keep some of the brain corals & anchor or hammer euphillia corals.

In a 70gallon tank and assuming you are using the standard of 2 whites and 2 blue bulbs I would say you could probably do mushrooms and maybe some other softies higher in the tank.
