I recently put in a small frag of green star polyps. I placed them rather high. Can you bleach or damage these by putting them to close to the light or too much light? I have pc 182 watts 50/50 and an actinic 03 no flu.

The reason I am asking is because I have noticed that the green tips of the stars appear to be losing its green color. They are getting real light colored.

Thanks for the help.

Sompa-
I think they should be ok with that amount of light, how tall is the tank? Where are they located in relationj to the lights? Mine are doing superb in a 20H with 70 watt MH and 40 watts florecent(sp). What are your water parameters?(just to get that outta the way, as someone else is bound to ask) Could your Wet/Dry be causing a nitrate spike? How are your other tank inhabitants?

BTW- 2 96 watt PC bulbs=192 watts  New Math :D
