Ok, I've got a 10gal tank that I have used to only cure the small chuncks of LR that I've purchased.
Had tons of copepods initially...then 2 mo. ago got a nice piece of LR and left it in there for about 2 weeks before putting in my main tank. Then I had tons of arthopods..cute lil critters.
I have *no* filtration on this tank and only the standard 6500k Eclipse bulb above it. The water quality is pristine, 0 amm, 0 nitrite, 0 nitrate
Was checking on my little critters the other day before sucking some out to put in my main tank when I noticed an upside down jelly swimming around a bit! He's about 3mm across and seems really happy in there.
He likes to sit on the sides of the glass and just gently 'pulse' a bit.
My question is where the heck did he come from? I haven't added anything to that tank in over 2 months!! There's no LR in there now, just a fake piece of coral/barnacle I keep in there so my g/f doesn't yell at having an eyesore.
On a 2nd note -- what do I need to do to keep him healthy?
