Have a pretty well established tank, 90 gallon Fish Only with Live Rock. I currently only have two fish in it, a Yellow Tang and a Powder Brown Tang. It also hosts 2 fairly large Red Legged Hermit crabs and a Blue Brittle Star.

My question is, will the Brittle Star or the 2 Hermit crabs bother or eat the cleaner shrimp if I get one? Both Tangs go up to the Hermits like they are shrimp and want to be cleaned but the Hermits just kick them away :) Any thoughts?

A cleaner shrimp is about 100 times more mobile than any hermit. I've never personally heard of any conflict, plus your tank is a good size, so they won't be on top of each other anyway. Brittle stars are bascially benign.

I had a brittle eat my cleaner shrimp, it depends. Try and get a big one,it should be fine, do you know what species of brittle you have?

You outta be safe..the hermits pose no threat to the shrimp..brittles can sometimes eat fish so i imagine if it got ahold of the shrimp, it would be a meal...the chances of that happening are slim..i have brittle and a cleaner in a 20gal with no problems...90gals should just increase its chances... :D
