Most importantly, WELCOME TO RDO, chen_is!

If 20kK is too blue for you (mutley29]/b] got the 20kK type), you may want to consider the 10kK bulb. After a while, the bulb will get less blue...

I bought the Bulbs in april, and will run them for about 7 - 8 months then change them out one at a time.

When i originally got them i was told they would be very very blue, after the 12k sunburts i had before they were, but i personally don't think they are that blue and am in the process of supplementing with actinics.

I don't know maybe it's my ballasts or i just have 2 whiter than normal 20k's, i am getting some growth on my SPS, i'll see if it improves with the actinics as well.

if your going to have SPS you may be better off with the 20k's depending on the size of your tank

HTH :)

I have:
2x 250w 20K XM MHs
2x 250w 14K Hamilton MHs
2x 400w 10K XM MHs

These are some pics of my tank's accomplishments (I like the results!)

Since going with multiple color temp lights, I have noticed better coraline growth and coloration and better coral growth, coloration and fluorescing.
