Hiding Hermits...

What gives with scarlet hermits hiding all the day? I've got four of them in my 10 gal, and I never see them - I see their exoskeletons often enough as they moult, but they're hiding out all the time. The 'left handed' white claw, however, is always walking around actively; the same for the blue legs.

Anybody get this stuff happening too?

Yep, hermits are like that, sometimes you see none, other times it's like a hermit crab meeting, i see non for a week then all of a sudden there's 10 of them all on one rock holding some sort of meeting. Funny. My shrimps do the same.

maybe they're conspiring against the giant people outside the box, lol

my hermits do the same, i rarely see them, and then at times their 1o ro 15 of them

Maybee so, I rearranged my whole reef yesterday, i'm awaiting the crab
revolution. Will be sleeping with my eye's open from now on

IME the Scarlets tend to be less active than some of the other types of hermits.
