I put a dozen nassarius (sp) in my 75 gal fowlr tank and my blue watchman goby will not leave them alone, keeps taking them into his hidey hole. Is he capable of eating them?

i always got the impression that gobies use the snails as 'bricks' in their burrow building practises.
that has always been the case with my chalk gobies...they even do it with my hermits when building their latest 'extention to the property'.

Yeah, I've had this when I introduced my blue-legged hermits to the tank. The shells were small enough so that the goby would take the whole thing in it's mouth, and simply place them somewhere else in the tank. I don't really recall any damage to either animal though.

How large is your blue goby? I've seen a very large one in the LFS the other day. My Blue would not be able to get it's mouth around my nassarius snails.
