I have two in my custom 120 (72/24/20) they have lots of sand bed to move around in this tank. They are a bit creepy imo but kinda cool when I feed the tank they come out in hurry to get what they can.On that note I know they would goble up any food or dead unseen critter before it might foul the tank. I know as mentioned before they may take down some sleeping fish this hasn't happened to me yet so I will cross that bridge when I get there.
Make it a point to target feed these guys. They don't live off detritus alone and often don't snag enough left over food. Skewer a piece of krill or silverside a couple times a week and hol it near where it hangs out. They'll appreciate the treat.
Hello!
I hope someone can help me..I had 3 or more mushrooms..I notice one came up missing..Than I went out of town and the others are also missing..I can't find any of them anywhere....
I have brittle starfish and I'm thinking he must have ate them..I've had them for several months and now there all gone.Do you think he could of ate them? I've been feeding him shrimp.
If not, than what could it be! I have nothing else in my tank that could have done this..
Thanks.
Lord Bless,
Di

Muschrooms will often "jump" from rocks to ride the current and find a new place to attach themselves.
I doubt your starfish ate them, the are just lost in the rocks!
