Hi, everyone, I had 2 questions about anemone names:

1. The rose anemone: I know it's basically a bubble tip, that's pink-colored...but I saw one at a LFS that was this GORGEOUS pink color for about 60 dollars (really vibrant pink). And then I've seen other pale, reddish anemones (one that I also have) and these are called rose anemones also ...? (These are only $30) So, essentially, any reddish bubble tip anemone is a rose anemone?

2.I was at my LFS today, and he kept referring to a certain group of anemones as "bubbles" ... I didn't buy any, but I was wondering if he was also referring to them as BTA's?

Hehe, i think i might be complicating this name matter a bit too much, but please let me know!

Thanks!
Jamie

That's the problem with common names - different people will call the same animal by different names.

Entacmaea quadricolor is also known as Bubble Tip Anemone, Bulb Tip Anemone, Bulb Tentacle Anemone, Rose Anemone (red variety), BTA, Rose BTA (red variety), Green BTA (green variety) etc...
