Insect like creatures everywhere

Hi All,

I am sure, or at least I hope I am sure, that this is something which is meant to be, however........

I noticed a few weeks ago micro creatures walking around the live rock; note this is about 4 months after the tank had cured. Last night I noticed the rear glass covered in them. They are quite small and are thin and about 3mm long. I thought I saw small tentacles on them but I can't be sure.

:? What are they and should they be there ?

Your tank is infested with isopods and other crustaceans, and your reef is doomed to be totally....oh wait, wrong tone.... let me start again. It is perfectly normal, and is a good sign that the live rock is supporting these critters. The fishes and coral will eat them as treats, and for some picky eater like Mandrain fish, that's pretty much only thing they will eat. Good.

Phew, this hobby realy does stress you out when you don't know what to expect.
