I've had a new clam in my tank for a little over a week now, and he seems to be happy. The thing is every time I place him up on a rock the next morning I find him upright on the sand bed! Will he be ok on the sand bed? I have a 24deep tank with 250w 20k DE MH lighting over him and feed DT's Photoplankton to the tank.

Any suggestions?

Snow,

I have a maxima as well that did not like the rocks at all. Did the same thing yours is doing.

I left it on the sand (now barebottom. It has been a year now and it has grown. I have a 24in deep tank with a 250W HQI 10k and 2 95w VHO actinics.

hey man, I find mine doing a "mary-lou-retton" over the rocks every few days. Take a chisel to one of the rocks and bust out a hole to set him in.
