This is a new 55 gal tank with 65 pounds of Figi live rock. I'm starting to see these things (I think they are anenomes) popping up on various rocks. Is this Aiptasia that I should be trying to get rid of? What is the best way to get rid of it?

thanks,

They don't look like aptasia to me but what od I know *cheeky grin* They kinda look like feather duster to me.

If this is indeed what they are they are fine. I am actually looking foreward to some myself.

If they were aptasia, you just get a syringe and inject concentrated clacium water into them. That is what I was told to do anyway.

Definitely not aiptasia. I agree they look like a perfectly harmless tube worm or feather duster.
