Those 'pillows' that are supossed to be put in filters to act as 'pollution control'; how much of their claims are actually true?
We have one made by the 'Aquarium Pharmaceuticals"co, the same people who make the water softener pillow for freshwater.
Does the resin actually act to remove bad elements, but keep in the good ones?

Not sure what you mean by "pillow". Are you talking about some sort of aquarium filter, or maybe a tap water filter?

No miracle for saltwater, but I will be interested to read about this pillow thing and see if I will change my first impression.

Well, the 'pillow' is really your standard plastic bag with holes in it, and it holds soft 'beads' of resin. Apparently, the filter pillow replaces your carbon insert, and works oh-so-much better in making the water absolutely orgasmic for your fish.
Of course, every brand claims that it's the best one on the market. Only one of them can actually be right...

And I'm wondering of these pillows are better than carbon, especially since the AP one claims that it doesn't remove beneficial trace elements.
