I.D question

I bought some live rock from a guy that was moving and have noticed something on it i cannot ID. On the back side as well as the front there are small ( 1-3 mm) red trees growing. It has a single base but branches out once it passes the 1mm mark or so. Anyone have any ideas what this stuff is? Thanks

Either a red algae of some sort, or it is a hydrocoral. Any pic?

I tried to take a few pictures but the camera is not really picking up the red things.

Does your camera has macro mode? Or it is color blind?

No, they are not fuzzy like that but have a smooth surface and the one in your picture is deep red while the one's that i have are lighter red.
