Is this something I want in my aquarium?

I can't seem to find any pictures of algae that match what is growing in my tank. It is growing on the live rock that I purchased about 3 weeks ago. Is this something I want to keep around because it is popping up and starting to cover several of the rocks.

Sagasso seaweed.

In my case sargasso disappeared after the tank matured some more. I don't know that it is a problem aside from being kinda ugly.

I think saragsso disappears from many tanks as time passes...I know it's happened to me. Why? I dunno.

I had sargasso grow for quite a while in a 55 gal. I had years ago. I always really liked the way it looks when it gets tall, but it doesn't last in my bigger tanks now.
