Hi, I have a question about water movement. My tank is six feet long, three feet deep and three feet wide. Where the water falls into the exit area in the center of the tank. I have three wide angle exhust robo arms on it powered by Iwaki MD70 (these move the upper water area), then there are four rio 1100 power heads moving the water behind the live rock. Should I have a rotating power head at the front of the tank blowing towards the back? If so what is the best type of 180 degree rotating power head for the money?

I would move this thread to the GRD forum.

Rather or not you want to have additional powerhead is just matter of personal preference. Did you consider using OceanMotion or OceanCurrent wavemaker in your application?

is that the power strip that starts one power head and shuts the other off? I read that they have "hard" starts and will deminish the life of the powerhead quickly.

"wavemaker" is one of the most abused term in this hobby. What I was thinking is a type of mechanical device that will direct the water to different area of the tank.
