want to upgrade lights

:?: I have a 100g tank with 200lb LR and some SPS. Right know i have(2) 4X65 watt PC like to go with (2) 250w MH lights and 2X65 watt 03 PC's but my tank is not glass. :idea:

I dont think it (the tank) will melt if that is the question...100g is pretty thick arcylic...with those SPS, it would be wise to go with your upgrades and maybe consider 400W MH if affordable...just keep the SPS close to the surface..If you have concern go with pendant lighting with fans built in or run fans to cool them...either way I think you're safe

If the halides aren't directly over braces, it should be no problem. Using pendants or a higher canopy will alleviate the problem. I say go for it!
