noobie: fluval 404

Hi

I'm starting a 75G mini reef ... I got a Fluval 404 canister filter that came with the aquarium... should I use it or no ? I already got skimmer, power heads, no sump for now (maybe in a year or so)

So do I set up the Fluval 404 canister filter? What media should I use in there?

Only if your not gonna keep anything in there that will become a nitrate factory. Only thing it's really good for is A/C, and maybe a phos sponge.
