One of my my clumsy Astrea snails dropped right onto my LTA. Being the pig that it is, it took about 5 minutes for the LTA to swallow it whole, then spit out an empty shell. :!: (Well, it -looks- empty anyways, I'm not sure how deep they can retract into their shell.)

Are Astreas toxic in any way to an LTA?

Thanks in advance for any info...

FYI: The LTA is about 10inches in diam, if that makes any difference...

No, astreas shouldn't be toxic in any way...I think you're good to go.

Thanks for the reply. The LTA seems more than okay, it's spread out a little wider than usual. --pig. My female perc found the whole thing interesting, wouldn't be surprised if she was the one who knocked it off my mag-float in the first place. You can tell where the snail's (eating) trail stopped on the mag.
