Hello everyone, my first post :D

I have 4 sexy shrimp in a 5.5 gallon nano with some macroalgae, xenia, button polyps, and mushrooms. There are also some hermit crabs and snails in there. The tank is fairly new, but so far everyone is doing great.

I am looking to add a few more shrimp within the next few weeks when my budget allows it, but i was wondering what tankmates are suitable for these shrimps (and for a 5 gallon for that matter). I was thinking 1 goby of some sort, a small little guy. Any suggestions?

Thanks

How about a clown goby? Several different colors available and they stay tiny at just over an inch.

Due to their size, these guys will make a tasty treat for just about any fish that likes small inverts (wrasses, dottybacks, etc.) You can probably try various gobies and cardinals. Most of the shrimp gobies would do well.

Thanks guys, I will look into the gobies and see whats available around here. Thats what i was thinking, as the tank is pretty small, and i want to work around the shrimps.

:welcome:

Consider blennies too. Most are algae grazing unlike gobies, and they should present less of a danger to the shrimps.
