I added a torch yesterday..my pair of clowns took to it briefly...Since this is my first attempt at a torch, im not sure i could give advise, however ive kept many different types of LPS corals and ive noticed they seem to do fine under good lighting and good water quality..I imagine feeding it meaty foods would be ok too if thats the case..

I've kept one and found it perferred moderate lighting and moderate current. I found when I went to higher wattage halides it wasn't expanding or growing as quickly as it did under the lower wattage lamps. Also, if I got the current whipping around it too fast it didn't extend as well.

As for feeding - I tried target feeding various stuff, but in the end I found it did best if left alone. They seem to get all they need from fish feedings, light and whatever else is in tank (bacteria, detritus, pods, etc.?).

My clowns never hosted in it, but that's definitely a possibility.

It is no different that any of the branching LPS. Moderate light and current and good water quality. Do not put them in the direct path of a power head or return. I had a power head fall off of a wall and nuke my torch in a day.

Mine are pretty aggressive feeders.. I usually give each of the polyps a squirt of mysis shrimp every day or two and the tentacles will grab it up.
