So I put the anemone in a holding tank to begin dripping.. and frankly he looks like he has exploded….. he is fully extended and almost looks inside out.

Im am dripping him as we speak

Please let me know if there are some steps I can take to help this situation (or tell me this is normal and I should chill)

how is he this morning?

anenomes don't like to be moved and will sometimes react this way. If it starts to slime and break apart, pull it out. Just give it some time to accalmate to it's new settings.

PS. Your gonna need alot more light to keep it healthy.

well

i put it into the tank.. and it was floating ... not a good sign.... but i caught him with a limited edition batman glass from McDonalds and put the glass on a nice spot on the rock leaving plenty of room for him to climb out... he attached to the glass and is staying put right now..

he looks ok.. very expanded.... i don’t see anything obviously wrong with him

doing a wait and see....

they expand when hungery or needing more light. watch him. and also feed silversides or little shrimp :) sadly my rbta is almost dead since he was placed inside my friends tank ( hes holding iot while i move)

my friend has more lighting then you do. ( PC) and he is baraly hanging on.

i had WAY LESS LIGHT then you do. i was only using 2 vho tubes on my 55 and he was thriving. no reflectors or anything. and he was on the bottom of the tank happy.

anenomes i think should be left for the advanced as they seem to have no set needs that gurentee them life

also filet the silversides if you feed it that. its weak from the move. why make him suffer the hell of doing it him self. ( i knoticed they digest more of the silverside when they are filleted

just make sure water is ok and the BTA should be fine. They ARE one of the easiest anemonies to keep in captivity. Just keep an eye on him. I wouldnt monkey with it unless it looks like it is in danger.

I'm guessing it's just exchanging water from within its tissue in order to acclimate to the new environment. I'd give it some time.
