Hi,
I have a sinularia (leather) coral. It seems to be a little bent over this AM. But the polyps are coming out as normal. And it looks healthy.

Do they flex around? Should it be placed elsewhere in the tank?

Thanks!
Brian

I swear that they looks like Montipora to me! 8O

Anyway, being a soft coral, the leather will go with the flow. As long as the polyp is happy, you should not be concern about the flexing.

I have a leather that does the same thing. It will even extend and retract it's "truck" according to flow and light conditions. If it looks like it is "reaching" you MAY consider putting it higher in the tank.

Anyway.. Im with the last post.. it looks fine. (although it only SLIGHTLY resembles an SPS to me haha).

I will bet you one {squat} dollar that the second pic is a purple Montipora, and the first pic is a more common yellow Montipora!

I promise you it's the same thing. I only have one in the tank! I was told it was a sinularia when I bought it, but... who knows?!?

Later in the day it was back upright, so I guess it's alright afterall.

Thanks!

Brian, I was just fooling around. I know it is a leather.
