stock 6 gal nano-no skimmer is ok ?

On my 6 gal - I still haven't been able to keep a fish alive and I am wondering if its because I have no skimmer set-up , just a spray bar shooting the top surface water down (creating good O2) just don't dig all the bubbles it creates ( hard to see inside of the tank) anybody see any pros/cons on the skimmer or no skimmer issue,could it be the reason fish don't stay alive more than 2 weeks? Thanks-

I'm not familiiar with what fish you're having problems with, but trying to keep most fish in a 6 gal tank will be problematic to begin with.
Lack of skimmer has nothing to do with it, there are other issues at work here. First, ditch the spraybar if you can and just run a powerhead or pump to aggitate the surface of the water.
How long has this tank been set up?
Do you have live rock in it?
What type of fish are you trying to keep?
How often are you doing water changes?
What are your tank parameters?
You might be trying to do too much in too little space.

Hi David- The tanks been up for 3 months- 10 #'s fiji in tank, Chambers 1&2 live rock,Rio 400 pump in chamber #3.We've had 3 damsels,(not at same time) 1 bi-color blenny, tomato clown,true percula, (all fish were by themselves)Mixing tropic Marin salt -RO water powerhead for 24 hours -then changing 20% per week,Perameters are : Temp-78-82(day)
Salinity-1.023/24 Refracto.
Ammonia-0
nitrates-below 10 ppm
nitrite-0
Cal-400
Alk-3.8
Ph-8.0-8.2
mag-1290
I Know about doing to much in a small space-try to tell her that-- lol.
