I don't know the answer, but since nobody has answered yet, I'll help you out with the next thing you'll be asked.

What are your water parameters, tank size, lighting, flitration, etc.?

Hi and :welcome:

If you can describe your system (setup, livestock, etc.) including any water parameters you're testing we can give you more useful feedback.

My husband does all testing....in process of getting test for Iodine & Calcium...Ph/Amonia/Nitrate/Nitrite I think I'm forgetting one. At present test for levels in standard Saltwater test kits. Since we just purchased Anemone and finger coral and store had no test kits for Calcium & Iodine this weekend will be purchasing kits...Live in Philly and most stores we go are either in NJ or DE for supplies. In city either don't have what you need or way too expensive.

The deflating/reinflating is normal and not necessarily a big deal but we'll need more detail about your lighting and actual water parameters to attempt to rule out a problem.

When you say the coloration is changing to "half gray" what color was it initially? Assuming this is a condy it should have been tan but often they are white (bleached).

Can you post a pic?

Sometimes when they deflate they are simply pooping, but without a pic it's hard to say. You say your husband says there is enough light, but can you be more specific about what type of lighting, it's fairly important.
