Hi,

I have some rock that's been sitting in a former nano tank and I'd like to use it for my new tank. Considering the rock has been sitting in there a while with out any filtration or light I will not introduce this into my tank.

I'd like to cure it and start from a clean slate. Any suggestions or answers?

Thanks!

So I don't need to let it set in another body of water? I heard if you want to cure rock you put it in a bucket of very salty water for a week or so.

I think you'd be fine to just add it. You might want to swish it around or blow it off with a powerhead before putting it in your tank to loosen/remove and detritus from any die off while it was sitting.
