Hello, I have had a reef tank for 10 yrs. I am considering myself new yet. I know it is difficult to answer a question without stating all water parameters/ system configuration. However I am trying to keep this short. I have 90 gallon tank set up for 10 yrs. I keep live rock inverts reef safe fish. I recently upgraded lighting ( 6 months ago) to Nova extreme T5 HO 4 actinic 54 watt 4 10,000k 54 watt with lunar lights. I have now added two bubble tip anemones.

The question is ...Why do the two anemones look so different? One is green with definite bubble tips. The other is a very light pink with dark pink tips.
I have had them for over a week. The green one is climbing up the live rock in a crevice. The light one is attached to the side of a rock lower in the tank. The maroon anemone fish is trying to spend time in both anemones  Maybe he can't make up his mind?

Is the color of the anemone an indicator of health? Are there different color varieties? If so, do different color varieties need various amounts of light?

I am hoping I have enough light. My mushroom polyps have not been happy about the additional light. I had to let caulerpa grow to shade them.

Sorry if I am asking to many questions. I am just curious.
Thank You for any help, Jeanine

I would think that your lighting would be strong enough for BTA's they are, IMO, one of the easiest least demanding anemonies to keep. As far as the color goes I would think that as long as they don't look bleached that they are still in good health. You stated that you've only had them a week. Keep in mind that these things will move around for a while before finding a place to call their own. I also think it's important to feed anemonies. Give them chopped shrimp bits or somthing once a week for a while and see if they color up. As long as they expand correctly, and don't turn a very pale tan I would just give them time.
