I haven't ordered anything from them, but I do have some via aqua powerheads. IMO they are a mediocre brand, something along the lines of Rio, but cheaper and I haven't heard of any electrical/mechanical problems that Rio's have had. I have used VA ph's for the last 3 years simply because they were cheap and on sale when I was setting up my first tank. They work fine, I think I've only had one die on me in all this time. However there are a few things I do not like about them. Every once in a while one will stop working and it can be as simple as unplugging and plugging it back in, or I might have to take it apart and clean the impellor. Also I absolutely HATE the suction cups they have. They are terrible and I sometimes come home to find a ph has fallen down and blown something over. For this reason alone I will never buy one again. I think it is worth the extra money to have the reliability of a maxi-jet. I have had 2 of these for a couple years now without any of the problems that the VA's have had. Plus there are some cool mods you can do with maxi-jets to increase flow that don't work with the VA. But if you want to save money, the VA's will work. I wouldn't get their skimmer though. HTH
