I just bought this Xenia frag a day or two ago and I noticed that most of the picture on the internet show them as much more feathery. I also haven’t seen them pulse yet. Is this abnormal?

Thats looks a little different from Xenia...might be something different. Xenia is more of a central stalk and smaller branches off of that...those look more like some sort of polyp.

This is not Xenia Elongata (brown pulsing) or the Pom Pom or Red Sea Xenia (the other two pulsing varieties). This is actually a different species (which I forgot which exactly) that goes by the common name of silver Xenia, which is an encrusting and non-pulsing species!

To me looks like stressed out Xenia
Hows your other corals doing?
Yes all my other corals r doing really well and after I made this post I went out and bought a real Xenia frag and they are doing super well. They spread out very fast over like a week to almost cover a full rock and they pulse everyday
