Repairing acrylic tank

I was using an acrylic scratch removal kit on my 20 gallon acrylic tank. Afteward there is haze that doesn't come off. Anyone done any repair work on acrylic tank?

Sounds like you need a fine cleaner/polisher.

If you can drag your fingernail across the surface and not feel bumps, the scratches are out. Now you need fine grade polish.

Use novus polish that is what I use on all my acrylic tanks. here is a link http://www.novuspolish.com Works wonders...

yeah the haze is either #1 the grade of ur polish isn't fine enough or #2 you didn't buff out all the polish, your actaully suppose to polish it untill the polish is gone. i've seen people use to much polish and then jsut wipe off the polish and it creates a haze or swirl marks. When it comes to polishin the more doesn't mean shinier! use little and work it out and go by small areas

The haze dissappear after the tank fills up with water. I doesn't show up in water, so I am very happy that I don't have to replace this tank. Love my arcylic tank, even though it can scratch easy.
