Hello

I was thinking of getting some fish for sifting the sand and making sure it is stirred a little. I have a 46 gallon bowfront and am planning on having a Valentini Puffer, serpent starfish, 2-3 percula clowns, 1 baby hippotang, 2 neon gobies, and am trying to find a sand sifting one.

i was thinking of the watchmen goby? will this work and is it okay to have the neon ones and hte sand sifting? is one better than the other? thanks !

Watchman will sift sand a little bit. Nassarius snails do a good job my pistol shrimp is constantly digging too

The best shifters are Sleeper Gobies (EX. Bullet Goby - Top pic or Blue Dot Sleeper - Bottom pic) Ive had many gobies these too are by far the best IMO

IMO the bullets Sift more course sand and are easier to take to prepared/frozen foods, blue dot are lil more dainty but will sift sand like crazy to make its meal! I had both of these with engineer gobies very similar to neon with no issues but all fish have their own lil special personalities!
