for those rookies like my self, who plan to get an overflow box whose tank is not reef ready.
i purchased an eshoppes overflo ,...one must suck air of u-tube to start flow. i read instuctions but was not very detailed, just a pic to go by.
i made the mistake of sucking air without both ends being submerged in water. i was trying to suck air for a good 10-15 mins, i was starting to pass out ( not joking ), then as i was about to give up decided to see instruction pic once more. i saw how it must be primed and both ends submerged in order for air to exit. i hope this is helpful, i wish someone would have post this before i purchased overflow.
