You know who you are-the people that helped me save my tank from crashing, those that offered sound advice, that one dood that found me a "sick" *ahem* bubble coral for about 1/10th of what it should have cost me (you can see how sick it looks in the pic), and MR for being the BEST site for us reefers...here's my tank this week.

Thanks for the kind words and encouragement! Unfortunately, I had to get rid of some of my smaller stuff to upgrade to my new lighting system, but I think it was worth it. Here's my DIY lighting project- I wanted to soften the light on the LPS while still growing the SPS. I also incorporated one of those 4 LED strips into a plastic casing for a little extra, as my softies were accustomed to it and seemed to enjoy the blue LED light.

looks great!!! how is the extra heat effecting the tank?

It is a 24g, and to offset the additional heat I placed a floor fan about 3 feet in front, at a 45 degree angle facing up, and that seems to be displacing the extra heat. It's still a firm 77 degrees, which is where I have always had the tank. That's why I left space in the back of the light stand I made, rather than setting it flush against the wall. My Mandarin, Blue-spot Goby, and shrimp don't seem to notice the different light, but some of my LPS is taking it's time acclimating.

If anyone has hints on how to take good pics with a crappy digicam, let me know.

Post-Swap update...

My nano cannot compare to some of the gigantic beauties I have seen, but that won't stop me from making it look nice. Hopefully there is a nice 120-150 in my future, and my nano will be where I get my corals:)

That said, I picked up some decent stuff Sunday at the swap, not a lot, but really pretty and complimentary to the colors and things in my tank.
