It is very worth the $99 for the heater security alone.
It can also run salinity, orp, and ph with probes/modules you can purchase, and so much more. It is upgradeable and the best $99 bucks I have spent on my tank. I like the standby mode which shuts off my powerheads and return for 15 mins while I feed my corals. It also has a night mode which can turn off some powerheads in your tank if you like the flow to be a bit lighter when the fish sleep. On mine I have
heater (for redundancy to the heaters sensor)
return pumps (so i can turn them off easily during feeding)
maxijet for flow in tank (that I can turn off in night mode)
ato (dual float switch with timer)
I run my lights separately because I do not need them to do much (just on, off, not multitimer which the rkl can do), I like to use my channels for a little more than just a timer. My lights draw a decent amount of power and only 2 of the 4 outlets on the PC4 can handle them, I have my heater and my ato on those 2 because those are the things I don't want messing up.
Hope this helps,
James
P.S. I can't wait to see a big ole redneck running around Bed-Stuy buying corals. haha. :thrash:
