Overflow or drilling?

Hey all..

So I'm only acquainted with the filitration of all in one built in aquariums. (Nanocube, Biocube, Aquapod, etc.)

I'm trying to understand how the overflow or drilling system works..

Does any one know a good article to read, or can explain to me how each works?

I heard that overflow isn't the best idea because if it "burps" you can end up with a lot of water in the floor.

Stan, if you can, drilling is always best, but of course not foolproof or even floodproof.

I would recommend installing an acrylic overflow box on the inside of the tank and drill it for a drain. This will get as close to reef ready as possible.

Drilling is the way to go. Worth the effort.

Drilling is the way to go. As far as the plumbing is concerned, I prefer the durso standpipe method.
