miracle mud n sand???/

hey guys i have about 40 pounds of miracle mudd that i been running in my refuguim for 4 months im upgrading tanks this week n im transferring my mud to my new refugium ... so i got some sand n i want to added it to my refuguim should i put miracle mudd on top of the sand or should i put the sand on top of the mudd or should i jst mix every thing ??

Mineral Mud is supposed to be capped with about 1/2"-1" of sand.

really no 1 ever told me that so adding the sand on top is a better route for me?

The only problem with your plan is reusing the Mud from your current setup. I don't know anyone who has ever used it, disturbed it, reused it. I don't believe you're supposed to use it that way.

really im adding 10 lbs more to it it says u can replace 20 pounds after a year or 2
