New to hobby

Hello all. I was referred to come here by Aloha Tropics. (a personal friend of mine).

I just started an interest with aquariums. Unfortunately, because of the size of my apartment, I am reduced to a 20 gallon freshwater hex tank. Its still fun for me, nonetheless. However one day after I buy a home, I will go all out and buy a saltwater reef tank.

So here I am, to get educated on the topic and meet fellow hobbyists.

I just bought a UPS for my tank. Was worried if the power ever failed. Is it common to have one? I got this:

Yo Craig, you should totally let me setup a 24" x 24" Cube tank at your place. Its a great way to learn how to maintain a reef and they can be really nice.
