What do I feed my cerith?

I ended up w. a cerith snail by mistake (got a piece of LR rubble & some "empty" shells to help seed a new tank w. base rock), he played possum for 2 weeks before I knew he was there, and since I don't have visible algae yet I'm afraid this little guy is about to starve.

Is there a special food for them?

Alternatively, if someone has an otherwise healthy tank w. excess diatoms or algae I'd be willing to loan you Houdini provided you take good care of him and return him upon request. He is rather cute, about 1.25", and it's not his fault he looks like a turd....

Abbra Cadabra... poof!! Nice offer on your part... you know you can if you wanted, leave the lights on a little longer than expected. Say 1 hour before and one hour after to ensure some little algae growth untill someone picks him up.
I'm sure someone would be willing to take the turd! I mean cerith. LOL GL!

You should feed him the same thing we feed OzoneParkGuy..CHEETOS! lol

Leaving the lights on is probably your best bet you will grow some in no time anyway if your tank is cycling.

Thanks, will extend photoperiod. Do you know how long they can go without eating? I was worried because he's already gone 2 wks.

houdini should be fine lol. since you are cycling consider that a good sign that an invertebrate is alive. just test your water frequently to make sure your levels are okay and stable enough for houdini.
