Coral???????

I have a???? is a anemone a coral (please don't laugh) I ask cause I'm setting up a FOWLR tank, but I also want the clownfish that I'm putting in my tank to feel like they are in the ocean but I don't want to get into corals...well not for another year.

Clownfish , firefish, and two skunk shrimp.....that's it .......on and all I have is the stock light ....

Can you define 'stock light'? Do you mean a strip light such as the ones they use on FW tanks?

That's going to need to be replaced if you want to keep an anenome.

What other equipment do you have on/for the tank? Filtration, circulation..etc?

I don't remember how much live sand but it makes 3"" on the floor I got 25lbs of live rock ,a 110 aquaclear ...the sg u think is what is called is at 1.023

BTW..... I haven't put ant live stock in there yet ...it's suppose to be a (FOWLR) tank ....but I tought I would add a anemone to make it more natural for them but that's going to have to wait for now then :-/

T 5 or metal halide minimum for an anemone. Or something in the LED market If you want to pay that much

+1 anything obove the level of PC lighting. VHO, T5 and up Hallides or i think LED lighting now can take care of the anemones.

Lol ...I'm going to hold off on the anemone ...since its my first saltwater tank ever I'll stick with the FOWLR ....but I do have a 55g that I'm eyeing already for my first reef tank ...but I'm still in the research stage , I say by march or April
BTW my 30g is now officially cycling YAY lol
