so heres my tank currently at 3 weeks and 5 days at cycling... im going to add a cuc tommrow.... should i change the rock work? my powerhead adds heat so im not sure if i should remove it yet. what u think? u can see also my inaccurate hydrometer. i know i should now keep it in the tank but im waiting for my water to evaporate to 1.25 and i wanna see if my hydrometer sg raises when it evaporates.. here it is

any suggestions

also theres no pic of thermometer but it is at 84 - 85 degrees.

it's 10 gallons

how many watts is that light?
You can try adding a fan that blows over the water. The fan can be something as simple as an old computer fan which can help cool a tank 1-2degrees maybe more since you have a small amount of water volume.

hey =) thanks for replying. the lights are nova extreme current usa pros.. it has 2 18w lights.. one daytime and one actinic i think.. lol... anyways i just need it for soft corals and frogspawn.. my lfs used the same light and kept frogspawn for around 2 years in that tank...

I would not add anything to the tank until you come up with a way to keep it cooler than it is running now.
84-85 degrees is WAY too warm for a reef tank and there is an excellent chance that anything you add in there now will die.

You sincerely need to solve that issue first. Try picking up a clip on fan.

Weren't you going to buy a refractometer? I see you still have a hydrometer in there??

This tank is also not stable yet as your telling us the temp is too high and you're not really sure where your SG is. Sorry to be blunt but IMO you shouldn't add anything in there until you have all of your parameters well in control for at least a week or two.
Do you have any levels measured for Calcium, Alkalinity or Magnesium yet?

im goin to the store to get my what i need today =) and to get it tested and buy a test kit at the same time. im gonna get a clip on fan also or make one
