ok so i like them both and i really dont know which one i should get. i dont have alot of money right now so i was thinking an mp10... an mp40 would be pushing it a little. or a tunze wavebox nano. the regular one is just way to expensive for a wavemaker.

its a 125 6'x18"x24" i have an 800 gph powerhead, a koralia 1600 gph powerhead, and maxijet 230 gph powerhead to move the surface. i really just want a tunze or a vortch to make like a wave like the ocean just to like rock the water back and forth because i really like the way the waves look.
What are the dimensions or your tank? Saving money on a smaller pump that is inadequate will cost you more in the end.

I had 2 x mp40 on that tank 72 x 18 x 25 more like a 135 gallon really and felt they were a little too much for my LPS, but if you want SPS and lots of flow definitely go with the MP40

I would go with the mp40, turned down to your liking with the length of your tank. The mp10 can deliver 1575gph at full power, but your 800gph powerhead + the koralia add up to 2400gph (not including the maxi for surface agitation. With that you're up to 2630gph.) According to EcoTech, the mp10 is rated for tanks from 2.5-50 gallons. I don't know if you want to eliminate the need for 3 powerheads, but 1 mp10 would definitely not cut it on your 6' tank. A single mp40 provides between 1000-3200gph, you might be able to get away with that, depending on how much flow you want and where you place it in your tank. However, I've seen shorter tanks running 2-3 mp40s (they were mainly SPS dominated tanks. I don't know corals you keep so I can't give you that much advice on how much flow is ideal).

Case and point, a powerhead designed for a nano tank is not really going to do all that much on your non-nano tank.
