I've been dosing 2-part (B-Ionic) for a month or so via a Profilux doser. The end of one of the tubes is becoming encrusted with a white gunk (calcium, presumably). Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong? The tubes terminate about an inch above the water level in the sump, though they have been submerged from time to time (e.g., when I turn off the return pump).

I keep the ends of my dosing tubes in the turbulent end in the water in my sump. This keeps the ends of the tubes as keep clean from precip as possible. Every once in a while I just take off the precip or cut the tube in a diagonal. Also Usually apart from each other.
