HOT Magnum question

Just got the HOT Magnum and it's been working great. Quick question though... I'm losing water because of the splash when the water hits after it runs through the filter. My solution for it is to just get a little bit longer of a tube for the outgoing water so it would flow outwards underwater. Does this make sense/will it work? Does anyone know the size of the tube for the downstem...? Thanks for the help!

thats how i have my dran installed. the water flows out under water. and as for how big it should be, mine is 2" cause i have 2 overflows at 1" each.

You should be able to angle the Hot Magnum return down, they swivel enough. If it is to high still that means your water level is to low. I have run these for years and never got the splash as long as the water level in the tank was high enough.
