computer fans question? help plz

how do i use this?
do i get 3pin or 4 pin ?
do i convert to an electical outlet?

You need to solder the black and red wires to the right wires on a 12v adapter. You can get one of those at radioshack. I would look it up online.

You need an Ac/Dc adaptor to support the fan. When you buy the computer fan, the specs are attached to it (on the sticker in the center.. it contains info on the amount of voltage and mah needed)....use those specs and go to Radio shack and see if you can buy that adaptor.

What I did was..I found a power adaptor that was not in use (ie...an old network router). It was under power but enough to move the fan to generate a steady air movement. Cut the wires and solder them together...
