Hello everyone! I was recently lucky enough to find a 90g setup that was in my budget, and i just have on question, how much flow do I need to have a successful and healthy reef system? I currently have a Koralia 2 Powerhead that puts out 600GPH left over from my old 30g, also is it better to have one large powerhead or a few smaller ones so you can control the movement a little bit?

Thanks guys :spin:

From what I read, and follow is that you have 2 different flows in a tank.
1- is for your filtration, this should be 5-8x turn over.
2- is actual water flow in a tank, softies and lps like 5-8x turn over within a tank, and sps like 10x turnover. I am not an expert but I have no problems in my tank so far.

Richie - If I had a dollar for every time youve helped me, well id have alot of dollars, so 10X turnover for a 90g tank would only be 900 GPH flow? Thats not bad at all

Ricardo - Just wanted to let you know the tank is lookin great! thanks for all the help and the great deal, it was nice to meet you
