Mud snails do very well in a reef. Wait until the water warms....putting them into a warm tank when they have been living in the cold will not work, even when acclimated. But when the weather warms, toss in a bunch. They don't even need acclimation, as they are intertidal and can deal with wide swings in parameters. I've had some last for many years.
