155 gal setup Tank is cloudy!!!!!!

I just setup up my tank water, salt live sand and live rock that have been cured the tank is really cloudy and its not clearing up what do I do?????? please help!!!!! i have the sump setup with bio balls and a berlin x2 protein skimmer and a rio return pump............what do i do???

yeah dont use tap water...ever...tap water has alot of phosphates, which feeds algae, causing it to get messy. Also, your water is probably cloudy cause you poured water directly on the sand. What I did was: Lay out all the sand, and pour about 2 inches on it. Then I took a medium container, and poured the water into the container and the water would evenly fill up. I had no cloudiness. Just wait a week, it should clear up.

Run the drain line(s) thru some filter pads/material or filter socks. Depending on the thickness of the material it will clean up overnight. Keep an eye on it, though, as the filter material could fill up/clog rather quickly. Good luck.
