Hi all,

I have a tank that I have been using it for mixing salt water. Now I noticed there are white hard crust formed at the buttom of the tank. It's really difficult to get ride of. I tried the hot water, cold water with brush. I even tried with vinegar solution.

Any idea? Thanks

Ok, I have this awsome glass scraper that I bought from home depot thats used to clean the algae off the glass (The scrapers that you would buy at your LFS are just trash)...this would work to scrape off the crust. Try it!

could be excess calcium. it usually does that type of stuff when theres to much. whats you calcium level. and if it is that then just lower ur calcium and scrape it off with what JKedra said or just use a simple razor which will not scratch your glass i do it all the time and never had any problems.
