Any tips on curing the overflow box gurgle noise? I'm running a rather large hose from the box down to the sump. Larger than 1 inch (think its 1 1/2 inch). So my immediate guess is - large hose and only about a true one inch female nipple on the overflow box - thus air in the line. Considering getting a one inch tube to cure the problem... but not sure that will really do anything. Any tips for a 24 hour experienced sump person?

I had built a cover from left over Lexan. Used a few small strips and glued under the Lexan and a few on top so it wont move, and my TA lifter pump is on top. I don't hear anything with it on. Hope this helps!

+1 on the hole of the overflow pipe with airline tubing although sometime you may still get the gurgling noise. seems the cheapest solution though

the best thing for your overflow is to use a 400 to 500 gallon per hour return pump.and you will solve 2 problems the noise and air bubbles filling your u tube you dont need a high turn over rate for your sump.

Drill a hole where the 90 bends to the standpipe. In other words, straight up from the standpipe. Then add a small tube so it's above the waterline for air venting into the drain.
